Cary Bunin Chief – Executive Officer
Mr. Bunin joined BTI as Chief Executive Officer in February of 2002 to direct the company's strategic planning and long term growth plans. Mr. Bunin has been an international Investment Banker for over thirty years specializing in major project financings, mergers, acquisitions, and complex contract negotiations. Mr. Bunin's involvement in global financings have totaled billions of dollars for major banking institutions, major corporations, and governments. His work in the financial services sector also includes participation at the annual meetings of the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund / World Bank. [top]
Stanley E. Freimuth – President
Mr. Freimuth became President of BTI in May, 2009 following a six month role as strategic adviser to the Chairman. In this position he has responsibility for the management of the entire company’s operations, including its subsidiaries. He also brings BTI increased access to strategic partnerships and relationships in the retail, security, government and technology sectors. Mr. Freimuth has had significant success in the management and growth of small and large companies, has extensive international experience and served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Fujifilm USA (revenues in excess of $2.5 B with 1,500 employees) where he spent over 20 years of his career. He is active on many non-profit boards, including the Smithsonian National Zoo. Mr. Freimuth has a B.Sc. from The University of Edinburgh in Scotland and an M.B.A. in marketing and finance from American University in Washington D.C. [top]
Allen Lubow – Chief Technology Officer / Director of Research and Development
Mr. Lubow joined BTI when his company was acquired in February of 2002. Mr. Lubow was the founder of a software publishing company (SNX Software Inc., in 1976) whose premiere product line, Bar Code Pro, has a worldwide installed customer base of over 150,000. SNX Software Inc. bar code software has won numerous industry awards and has led the bar code industry in developing standards for worldwide adoption of bar code symbology standards. Many of the patents registered by Mr. Lubow, now owned by BTI, have been breakthrough technologies to allow readability and scaleability.
Mr. Lubow has been published and is a recognized expert in the bar code community. Mr. Lubow earned a degree from The Cooper Union, NYC, in architecture, a Masters Degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and studied at the E.T.H. in Zurich, Switzerland.[top]
Robert C. Bohorad – Director of Business Development
Mr. Bohorad joined BTI in May, 2009 to manage the SNX Software subsidiary and to assist on larger BTI-related initiatives. He has worked for a number of companies in various stages of their life cycles, having most recently served as Vice President of Strategic Development for Miga Solutions. Migas an online marketplace for used and surplus medical equipment and Mr. Bohorad's primary roles included fundraising, strategic development and establishing the east coast operations. Prior to Miga, Mr. Bohorad was a senior executive at Diopsys, Inc., a leading medical device company focusing on innovative vision testing systems. Throughout his career, he has worked in numerous capacities, including sales, marketing, finance, accounting, operations and human resources. Mr. Bohorad graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA from Fordham University. [top]
Peter Ypsilantis – Vice President of Business Development and Licensing
Peter Ypsilantis has more than 20 years of technical sales and business development experience, selling and building global brands and leading organizations in publicly held companies across various industries. An accomplished sales executive and strong business leader, his ability to develop solutions to address total customer needs has resulted in increased market share, revenue, profitability, and customer loyalty to the companies that he has represented.
Mr. Ypsilantis received his M.S. in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, a B.S. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering from Polytechnic University, and is a distinguished graduate of the Stanford Executive Development program. Peter is a decorated former officer of the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge at the rank of Captain. [top]
Joel Handel – General Counsel
Mr. Handel practices corporate law including mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and consolidations. He has a formal background and training in accounting and tax law and is uniquely qualified to structure, negotiate and successfully conclude a variety of complex financial business transactions. More specifically, Mr. Handel is routinely involved in corporate, finance and securities matters on behalf of his clients. Mr. Handel has provided legal assistance and advice to BTI since the company's inception in 2001.
Mr. Handel has a J.D from Columbia Law School and a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Handel is a member of the Bar of New York State. [top]
